PADI Open Water Diver Course

The PADI Open Water Course is based on student performance and not time or cost.
It's a course that requires the student to learn and master all the required dive skills before certification, including 40+ dive skills including mask skills, out of air situation, 20+ hand signals, help another diver, master dive tables and use a dive computers to plan and execute dives, learn turn around points, air monitoring, compass navigation, SMB use and the importance of the buddy system.

At the end of the Open water Course, students should know how to dive safely, plan dives and dive without professional supervision with a buddy of the same certification level or higher.

  • 5 Classroom sessions and Paperwork

  • 5 Shallow Water Skills Practice in the Caribbean Sea with your Instructor 

  • And 4 Dives to a Maximum 60ft/18m at a dedicated Dive site with your Instructor

  • A Temporary Certification Card and a physical Certification Card

  • RDC Log Book .

 

What will I learn :

  • During the Course you learn the basic safety guidelines and watch 5 videos and read chapters from the O/W Manual and complete 5 Knowledge Reviews and complete 4 quizzes and pass a Final Exam .

  • You'll learn how to plan dives and manage air consumption

  • Master basic skills and protocols with 5 confined water skill sessions

  • Complete a 100 yard Swim and a 10 minute Float test. 

  • Make 4 O/W Dives to a maximum 60ft/18m under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. 

  • Learn 40+ Basic skills and go over the scuba equipment you use .

  • And Learn to dive and gain certification to dive with a Buddy with NO Professional supervision.

 

What do I need to sign up for a PADI O/W Diver Course :

 

  • You must be 10 years old or older.

  • Answer "No" to all the RSTC Medical Forms or get clearance from a Doctor - see the Form below 

  • If Under 18 years old have paperwork co-signed by a parent or guardian.

  • Need at least 4 day's available for training . 3 days with e-Learning.

 

Experience Required :

  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required for this Program.

The Open Water course is your most important course you'll take in diving,

it sets the foundation to your future diving and dive abilities and future additional training.
