SSI Stress & Rescue Diver Certification Course

The SSI Rescue Diver Certification Course is a 2 Day Course where you learn to Advance your dive skills with a dedicated Instructor, Challenging and Fun.

Stress is a major cause of diving accidents and negatively impacts rescue situations. This program teaches you the skills and knowledge required to recognize and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers. You will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification after completing this program.

The Rescue Diver course is designed to prepare you to deal with dive emergencies, minor and major, using a variety of techniques. Through knowledge development and rescue exercises, you learn what to look for and how to respond. During rescue scenarios, you put into practice your knowledge and skills. Topics include:

Self-rescue

Recognizing and managing stress in other divers

Emergency management and equipment

Rescuing panicked divers

Rescuing unresponsive divers

What do I need to sign up for a Rescue Diver Course :

 

• You must be 12 years old

• Able to complete the Knowledge development and complete the skills and Exam.

• Need at least 2 days available for training, 3 with the React Right Course. 

 

 

Experience Required :

​

• Must be an Open Water Diver with proof of CPR and First Aid Training within the last 24 Months
