Roatan Dive Center is owned and operated by husband and wife team Gary and Mary Miller.

​

Gary is currently an SSI Instructor Trainer and previously an award-winning quadruple Platinum Course Director.

He has been a full-time Dive Pro in the dive industry from 1999 and has recorded over 12,350+ dives on Roatan and the Bay Islands and close to 2,500+ Diver Certifications, so you’re in safe hands. Gary is also a U.S National Board Hyperbaric Dive Medic and EMT-B 

and SSI React Right & EFR Instructor Trainer.

Gary oversees all the Diver Training and Dive Operations to a high standard and high level of safety.

He teaches over 40 SSI and PADI Dive Courses, which are all taught to a higher standard than required - Simple! 

 

Gary’s wife, Mary, is an Assistant Instructor & Divemaster and has been working in the industry for over 20+ years.

 

Their Dive Centers boast quality dive equipment, compressors, and a quality purpose-built Dive Center with  an equipment storage area, two indoor changing rooms, bathrooms, showers, a dedicated camera table, and a retail area. The availability of Nitrox is coming soon!

 

The Dive Center location is waterfront, so there are no long walks to the boats.

Additionally, there’s parking next to each dive center with direct road access, so there are no dirt roads or parking issues.

 

What we do :

We set up your dive kit on the boat before the dive and change tanks for you between dives.

At the end of the day, we disassemble and rinse the dive gear for you.

Buoyancy and dive advice is always free.

 

Below are a few key pieces of information that you should know.

 

Our dive trips leave at 9:00 am for a 2-tank dive and at 2:00 pm each day.

We ask that you arrive 40 minutes before the boat leaves so we have time to fit your gear and complete any necessary paperwork.

 

Roatan is in the Central American Time Zone, which is one hour ahead of Eastern Time and “cruise ship time” during the months of October to May. We operate on local time, so please plan accordingly or you will miss the boat.

 

If you are driving in, please allow sufficient time for traffic, particularly during high season.

 

If you are diving, please bring your certification card, or we can’t take you diving.

If you are PADI or SSI certified, we can look up your certification online.

 

If possible, please book in advance. In order to offer GREAT service, we take a maximum number of divers on each boat at a time, and we do get fully booked, particularly during high season.

 

Our rental equipment is extremely well-maintained. You may find it easier and more economical to use our equipment even if you have your own gear.

 

Excludes $10.00 per person marine park user fee.
