The Honduran Government has implemented new requirements to help streamline your arrival in the country.
Understanding how to complete these steps will ensure the effectiveness of airport biosecurity protocols.
The entry requirements are always basically the same.
Valid Undamaged Passport, valid for 6 Months beyond the entry date
A round-trip/onward ticket is required
&
Precheck is NO longer required
Proof of the COVID vaccine is NOT required.
South American citizens/residents or travelers must provide proof of vaccination
against yellow fever.
Please check with the Honduran Embassy for their specific requirements
United Kingdom and Great Britain Citizens:
A visa is required for British citizens to enter Honduras.
Bookings are required for the Application process
at local Honduran Embassies Worldwide.
U.K. Citizens entering via a cruise ship as passengers
may disembark with a “short pass” for the duration of docking hours,
allowing them to explore Honduras while the ship is in port.
A visa will be necessary if a passenger stays in Honduras beyond docking hours.
Please confirm details with your cruise line or the Honduran Embassy.
Other Nationalities:
Others should check with the Honduran Embassy for their specific requirements
or Updates to enter Honduras.
Measles Vaccination Clarification
As of July 4, 2025
The Honduran Government has issued an update to its entry requirements.
Foreign travelers are NOT REQUIRED
to present proof of measles vaccination to enter the country.
From July 7, 2025, measles vaccination is required only for Honduran citizens
aged 12 months to 10 years
who are re-entering Honduras after traveling to countries with active outbreaks of measles.

The Honduran Customs Declaration Form must now be completed electronically.
Paper copies are no longer available or accepted.

The internet at the airport is not working. Please ensure you complete it beforehand.
• One form per family.
• Mandatory for both, entering and leaving Honduras and completed within 5 days of your entry or departure.
• Use the dropdown menu to select English or Spanish.
• Have the electronic copy with the QR code available for the customs agent to scan.

The precheck form is no longer required unless you are a Nicaraguan citizen.
The National Institute of Migration (INM) informs the national and international community
that on the instruction of President Xlomara Castro:
1. As of December 12, 2023, pre-screening for national and foreign users is no longer
a mandatory requirement to leave or enter Honduras.
2. The main purpose of this provision is to speed up the process of obtaining a transfer
at the various border points of the country and to
facilitate the procedure for the transfer of users via air, land, or sea.
3. The immigration pre-check will only be a mandatory requirement for Nicaraguan citizens,
who must carry it out seven (7) days before the scheduled date of departure
to Honduras, by entering the platform: prechequeo.inm.gob.hn
4. The INM will maintain the necessary controls, security verifications, and protocols
to guarantee the protection of the users entering and leaving the country.
